"A feast for Odin"
is a saga in the form of a parlor game. You trace the cultural achievements, trades and plunder of those clan associations that we now call "Vikings" - a term that was used differently by the people of the late first millennium.
The ancestors of today's Scandinavians were not only pirates, but also discoverers and states founders.
Leif Eriksson is considered the first European in America - long before Columbus. The fact that humans developed into great seafarers at that time is due to the severe agricultural conditions.
Crop failures then easily led to emergencies. In this game, you can loot, discover new habitats and reenact your daily life. You pile up goods to get into a social position that materially secures you.
The one of you whose possessions are the most valuable in the end wins the game.
Note from the author:
Although there were big differences in law, religion and society in the various Scandinavian countries, they were sometimes "unified" by me - for better readability and not to mutate into a scientific tome.

There has never been such a thing as a universal "Viking culture." Primary Viking sources date from runic inscriptions, archeology, and contemporary literature.
The latter is written by Arab travelers and Germanic chroniclers such as Adam of Bremen. Due to the thin source location, much information comes from Iceland or the Iceland sagas. Due to the theme of the game, sources for the Norwegian Vikings were preferred.
In the absence of this was resorting to general sources from Scandinavia or even the Early Middle Ages in northern and central Europe. The texts were compiled by me to the best of my knowledge and belief from predominantly internet-based research.
Special thanks to Dr. med. Reinhard Hennig, the most profound connoisseur of matter, to whom Viking Age research has much to thank.
A feast for Odin is a real "chunk" of 3 kg of high-quality game material.
A beautifully designed game with many tiles and game plans, coins made of sturdy cardboard. Whole 61 tricky action options and tricky puzzle rules not only lead to raids, but postpone the trade and life of the Vikings.
