Freya (aisl. Freyja Mistress) is the name of the North Germanic goddess of love and fertility.
She is considered the next most important goddess of the Nordic pantheon after Frigg, with whom she is often equated or confused in modern receptions. It resembles the Venus of the Roman sky of the gods.
