The coin was minted from a find in Haithabu from the 9th century. Haithabu was a great trading center for the Vikings. Haithabu is located in Schleswig-Holstein in Germany. In the meantime there is also the Haithabu Museum where you can find a lot of information about the life of the Vikings.
