The lansquenets were mostly German mercenaries in the late 15th and 16th centuries. Most of the time they walked through the countryside fighting, but sometimes also on horseback.
The lansquenets were considered particularly powerful due to their disciplined and progressive manner of fighting, but they also often had the reputation of being "looters", who are said to have tended to devastate entire areas if the wages were not paid.
The traces of forging have been preserved on the carbon steel blade. The handle scales are made of hardwood. Including traditional wooden scabbard with leather loop.
