Product information "Yul candle holders / family candlesticks / traditional candlesticks, "Julleuchter" made of natural ceramics"

Untreated red natural clay. The Yul candle-holder (Julleuchter) / tower lantern was newly produced from ceramics according to the original.

The heart symbol serves to recreate the pulsation of life, and the Hagal rune (younger Futhark) first symbolizes hail and snow and, in the deeper sense, according to the existential basic law, that the event patterns of the past have a shaping effect on the present (in the picture of everything devastating Hagels, which releases the green land after its melting). Hagal thus symbolizes the energies that have arisen in the past and continue to have an effect today.

In the past, the solstice ceremony was carried out as follows: During a certain (regionally different length) period before the winter solstice on December 21st. the candle stub of last year (which had to be kept in a special container throughout the year) is placed in the candlestick. The sun that has not yet been turned is symbolized by the light projection of the heart and rune in the room. The light must never go out. On December 21 at night the burning candle is put on the candlestick - the sun has turned, as it is popularly said, "gone over itself". The candle then remains (also regionally) on the candlestick for different lengths of time, in the Alpine region mostly until after the rough nights (6.1.). The stub of the last candle remains in that special place to illuminate the next solstice.

Symbolizes the Midnight Mountain in its form. The migration of peoples from East Friesland to Scandinavia led to the custom of placing a small light under the candlestick as a symbol of the outgoing year. At the solstice, at the time of the returning light, a candle is lit on the candlestick, as a symbol for the victory of light over darkness, but also as a symbol for the eternal cycle of becoming and passing away.

The Yul candle-holder / Julleuchter is new and was made from natural-colored red clay according to original models.
It is NEW GOODS, made by hand.
The width of the Yul candle-holder is about 4,33 - 4,72 inch (11-12 cm), the height about 8,66 inch (22 cm.)
