Heimdall is a son of Odin and is one of the Germanic gods of the Aesir.
He is considered the god of light and protection in Nordic mythology and is the guardian of the Bifröst Rainbow Bridge.
The bridge connects Midgard and the world of Asgard.
He signaled Ragnarök with his callhon "Gjallarhorn". The rooster Widofnir is the almost immortal guardian of the integrity of the World Tree.
